The Ghost Of Christmas Beserk

Daniel Pipes decided to launch one of his running dog pieces of commentary on Christmas Eve. I say "running dog" for Mr. Pipes has a Master who is a very exacting master, and Mr. Pipes has to run for his master very frequently; that was all in the contract. In fact, Mr. Pipes likes to be "His Master's Voice". Was Barack Obama a Muslim? by Daniel Pipes FrontPageMagazine.com December 24, 2007 http://www.danielpipes.org/article/5286 and the discussion in Media Matters Daniel Pipes relied on disputed LA Times article to revive Obama-Muslim falsehood Summary: On FrontPageMag.com, Daniel Pipes purported to consider whether Sen. Barack Obama was "ever a Muslim or seen by others as a Muslim." But in support of his statement that "available evidence suggests Obama was born a Muslim to a non-practicing Muslim father and for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing," Pipes cited a March Los Angeles Times article, critical parts of which have been challenged by the Chicago Tribune. http://mediamatters.org/items/200801020004?f=h_top What I find the most damnable utterance by Pipes is his ending: He speculates that Mr. Obama might be seen as an apostate from Islam, and "More significantly, how would more mainstream Muslims respond to him, would they be angry at what they would consider his apostasy? That reaction is a real possibility, one that could undermine his initiatives toward the Muslim world." This is the same Pipes creature who held that the mere existence of an Arab within the confines of Israel - even an old crone-posed a severe threat to Israel's existence, and... thereby take whatever steps are necessary for a final solution to this problem. http://fatherdaughtertalk.blogspot.com/2006/12/daniel-pipes-takes-aim.html

"Ceci n'est pas une pipe, mais la reverie de Pipes."
