Rush 'n Recession: Childhood's End

I see where Rush Limbaugh has blamed the Recession on Obama. Interesting case of effect preceding cause. All very quantum mechanics, don't you know. It will be Mr. Limbaugh's Big Lie for years, and if he repeats it enough, it will seem as Truth to his band of quirky listeners. There is redemption in Limbaugh, but it comes as a garment woven over a warp of hate on a loom of fear. The redemption is a leap of faith to a higher prison, one where we may all be jailers, wardens, and prisoners in our imaginations. When I hear of a 60 year old man who has lost his job of 25 years, this happening a few years after building his dream house wherein he and his wife placed most of their savings, a house he cannot sell now for any price, much less anything near what it cost... I weep, but I also realize that this is the regime of human degradation in which we live. This is the Capitalism that we have had preached and praised to us from childhood on: creative and destructive capitalism, the genius of capitalism!!!!!!!! Real Economics does not require the destruction of individuals. The present day American economic theory does. Real Economics is not just based on self interest, but also on "moral and ethical" self interest. The present day American economic theory is not. A good deal of modern day American economics is cunning artifice designed to concentrate more and more wealth into the hands of fewer and fewer people and institutions. It has been this way from my childhood on. Well, ....... Childhood's End. The Future is coming. Shall we grasp it with hammers of iron and tongs tempered by blood, or shall we mold it into a true community of mankind?
