Mythic Landscapes: The Temple Of Aesclepius, Saviour

In the temple of Aesclepius, I dreamt of my father's boat:

This reminds me of the Somali pirates for some reason . . . the boat, not the temple.

I see water and desert...and if I let myself dream, they are ancient gods and power, good and bad.

I think this was just before the latest piracy.
People seem surprised.
It's been going on for years, so it was only a matter of time.

I read some idiot earlier today, and naturally I cannot remember who it was, who was speaking about the terrorist threats from our Muslim brethren in the very same breath with the Pirates (capitalized) out there in the Indian Ocean. You know, the ones holding our brave capitan. All kinds of ruminations about ramifications for Obama's foreign policy. Good grief! On second thought, maybe my mind went immediately into flush-out-pollutant mode and cast the author's name immediately into the darkness.

I think FOX is an excellent example of the "screen play" nature of reality to the uncritical mind.

Everything is devoted to the Narrative. There is no actual news reported, unless it furthers the narrative.

Of course, this is nothing more than the "Propaganda" they used to talk about used by Fascists and Communists- nothing new about it.

What truly interests me is that Reality actuall is a "story".

I was so surprised to find Bishop Berklely was right on!

Even more interesting than the narrative nature of Reality is the fact that most people wont admit it to themselves.
I seem to remember the Nazis did. The Commies seemed not to, believing in the "material realities" of Marxism.
