She-who-must-be-obeyed was watching an interlude of Call The Midwife on PBS.
As I walked past, I glanced at it and thought, "Ah, The Cuckwich Midwives."
"Village be damned!", I muttered.
She fixed me with a stare as unfriendly as a sharp pike.
"Hush, Montag!", she said.
